Most parents embrace the adage "pick your battles". Not a parent, but a BIG fan of that saying, especially when faced with a potentially difficult tax situation. Thanks to Don, the burden was lifted and the battle for a decent refund was won!

I've been going to see Don for years! Wonderful people who I can count on and trust!

I have never written a review before and this is long but I wanted to explain everything. I was just there this morning. I had an appointment with a woman but I can't remember her name; I went in for help with an amendment. I was not able to print out my return I had already filed because there was a problem with my printer, but it was accessible online so I figured it would be ok. When I got there, the front desk lady handed me paperwork to fill out ( a lot of it wasn't applicable for why I was there-but I digress.) While I was filling out the paperwork the woman who was my preparer walked out front to the lobby and glowered at me; it was very awkward and made me uncomfortable. She went away and I turned my paperwork into the front desk. The front desk lady goes to the preparer's office which was right around the corner so I could hear the preparer telling her to tell me she needs a copy of my return. The front desk lady came out and told me and I explained to her it's online, but that I could leave and go to the library or something if it has to be printed out. She didn't say anything and went back to her desk. After a few minutes I walked up to the desk apologizing that I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing, was online ok or did I need to leave? Front desk lady says she would ask the preparer but that she had stepped out. WHAT?! Seriously, I have an appointment at noon but she steps out?? I didn't say a word and went back to have a seat. A half hour after my appointment time, the preparer comes around the corner and the front desk lady hands her my file, keep in mind they are literally standing right in front of me talking like I'm not there, the front desk lady tells her my situation with my return and that it's on line and the preparer VISIBLY ROLLS HER EYES and sighs. Then she calls me back and I apologize and say I can come back another time. She explains it's fine but she can't always access all web pages. But she was able to access it and then proceeded to ask me for my username and password. WHAT?! Me: Umm I'm sorry you want me to give you my password. Her: (Impatiently) yes. At this point I am done, I told her I wasn't comfortable and that I didn't wish to return and could she please give me the papers I filled out with my personal information. She said no but that she would shred them. This woman was rude and had an attitude through the entire process. There was no reason for her to be hateful. And she did not need to know my password, that was none of her business; she could have handed me the keyboard for me to type it in. All around a complete wast of time. I had taken time off work to go in and am so disappointed by the way I was treated. I would not recommend this place at all or at least not the preparer I had.

One week later, hadn't heard anything. Submitted a contact form on their website asking them to get in touch with me so I could schedule an appointment. Never heard anything.

One week later, left another message when I still hadn't gotten a call back. Needless to say, I've still never gotten a call back.

Called another local financial business and got a next-day call back from the owner on her day off to schedule my appointment. Stadler Tax says that they're all about customer service, but it doesn't seem that way to me.

I called to request an appointment and was told that the person I needed to speak with was away from her desk and could call me right back when she returned. Great!

Fast and easy. They take time to explain everything.
