I haven't got the chance to use their service because they turned me down long before that. I called to consult whether they offer tire changing service. The guy who picked up the phone said he didn't understand what I was talking about. I apologized for my accent (though I have been here for 7 years and speak English fluently) and spelled the word "tire" for him. He sighed and said "I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THAT WORD!!!" I spelled again and he was very impatient and sighed again. I don't know whether this is discrimination and certainly feel much offended!
ABA is definitely the place to go if you have something wrong with your car. I have worked with them with my first car and second car. They know what they are doing. As a person not knowing too much about cars, Alex and John are always helpful and reliable. Most importantly, the price is really reasonable. Highly recommend!!
I use ABA for auto repair almost exclusively. I like the very practical approach that they use: they want you to spend the minimum to get your car run again. For students, ABA is the best option in my opinion.
Jon (the owner) and his mechanic (Alex) are always helpful, trustworthy, and timely with repairs. I've used them for more than 15 years now. There is no one else I trust as much in town. Jon is an engineer and Alex is highly trained mechanic for decades, these guys are the best and their price is better then anyone!!
My friend in IU law school brought me here two years ago who had lived in Bloomington for more than five years, and they never let me down. Alex and Jon know cars very well and they never recommend unnecessary maintenance to me. They don’t provide air-conditioned rest area and soft sofa, but their professional skill and reasonable price are definitely more attractive. Highly recommend!
