I have a Reactor watch they sell in the store, so I figured they should be able to change the battery. I have the tools at home but figured it would be best to leave to a professional. I took the watch to them, the changed the battery quickly. I noticed the back screw down case was barely screwed in but wouldn't budge. I suspected they stripped it when assembling it, so I returned it to them. They said they didn't have the right part to fix it. I waited over a month for the part to arrive, they said the mfgr forgot to sent it, which was only a rubber gasket. Whatever. When I got the watch back everything looked good but the watch face was terribly damaged. to the point of bending the face. Im surprised it even ticks. I think they got the retaining bracket put in wrong so when they screwed down the bezel it warped the face. I asked him "Is this it??" he said "Yup". At this point I decided to cut my losses, I suspect that if I tried to get them to fix it they would either damage it further, or charge me.
Edit: After leaving a negative review I got a call back from Settle. They were polite and offered to send the watch to the mfgr. I decided that I would open the watch myself to see what was going on. It was what I suspected, the movement retainer was forcing the face of the watch too far in causing it to bend. After re-positioning the retainer(which was tricky) and screwing down the case, everything sat flush and you could no longer see the lump in the watch face. The threads also looked to not be damaged. So I have edited my review. Thank you Settle, for the call back. I appreciate it but I felt passed off every time I went in, which is unlike Settle. I think the retainer got put in wrong from the beginning and it never got checked after that. I will ask for someone who specializes in watches next time from the beginning, I wouldn't mind waiting a few days.
Totally worth it. They fixed my broken watch band. It was hard finding a watch repair company but they fixed it up for me. Highly recommend.
Always have had pleasant customer service and fair pricing. Never pushy and friendly.
Great service. Nice Engraving
Out of all the jewelry stores that my husband and I visited while looking at engagement rings, Victor Settle had the best customer service in town. We ended up buying my engagement ring and both our wedding bands from here. I have also had several other pieces of jewelry repaired here for reasonable prices and I've been satisfied with their work. They are the best jewelry store in town in my opinion and I have recommended their services to friends and family.
