I had a screw in my tire and I knew all my tires needed to be replaced before winter. Midas has the best price for Cooper tires in Bloomington and their staff is top-notch! I have been in places before where I felt I was being conned into getting services I didn't need to make the shop extra money but I absolutely didn't feel this way about Midas! Their front office people are talkative and friendly and really take good care of their customers. The tech that put my new tires on was very polite and respectful. They even took me to my car on the lift and showed me the wear pattern on my tires and explained why my tires were so bad in the first place (I have never had an alignment the whole time I've owned the vehicle). I went back the next week to get a much needed alignment and get the lug nuts tightened and again great service! They even put the spare tire back in the under-carriage of the vehicle (I have a Chrysler Town and Country and the spare gets cranked down from inside the vehicle - it took me 20 minutes to do it myself to get the spare out so the extra time they took to return it to where it needed to go was MUCH appreciated!). I would recommend them to anyone!
They will try to take advantage of students and push for you to do work that's not necessary. They tried to get me to replace my all 4 brake pads & rotors as well as the rear calipers. All together, it would have been $1100. This sounded ridiculous, so I took it to another place and they informed me that the calipers, front pads, and front rotors were all fine. In total, what needed to be done cost me about $250.
