When I took the sheets to the women at the front desk her excuse was "well they are white sheets they are gonna have stains" I said okay well I would like some that do not have stains, she said the rest of there supply probably will all have stains so she will call someone to bring me new sheets.
2 stars: condition of room #127 and furnishings. The carpet was dirty -- my white socks’ soles were dirty after walking around all evening. There was a noticeable foul, chemical odor in the bed area but I couldn’t identify the source. Desk and TV/refrigerator/microwave console seemed OK. Mattresses were creaky and rather thin compared to other Quality Inns I’ve stayed in. The automatic lavatory and bathroom lights seemed a nice convenience and energy savings at first, but then the lights went out during a bath. Being suddenly in the dark and dripping wet and having to go clear to the hallway to turn lights back on is annoying, to say nothing of being a potential fall hazard. There should be a second motion sensor in the bathroom. There were no Do Not Disturb placards to hang outside the door. In general the room seemed old and worn, in transition to being updated. I’ve stayed in far worse, but this room fell below the usual Choice Hotels experience and priced about $25 too high for value received. In fairness I must include that I didn’t report anything except the automatic light issue to the front desk. I’m sure they would have responded promptly and fixed what they could, but I was staying only one night, needed to rest and didn’t want the hassle of changing rooms.
This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. It doesn't deserve 1 star but it won't let me select 0.
Now I'm angry this is ridiculous. I know it's the quality inn, I wasn't expecting lavish amenities but clean sheets is a priority.
However the moment we checked in things did not go well. This is a smoke free hotel, but our room smelled badly of stale cigarettes. This I could get over though.
Next I start pulling back the covers and notice huge yellow stains almost looked like urine on all of the sheets. The sheets had a oily feeling to them like they weren't even washed. Now this was a problem, we are spending $290 a night I at least want clean sheets.
5 minutes later a house keeper comes to my door with "new sheets". They were the SAME exact pair of dirty sheets I gave the front desk women. I was appalled.
She didn't do anything to try to make me happy. Had I originally gotten clean sheets I would of been fine. I have never had such bad customer service before. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
The Bloomington Indiana location was very nice and accessable from the road into town. They were very kind when giving me a room. I was even surprised they called the room phone after I check in to make sure everything was up to standard. I will definitely be returning when I need to stay in the area. 5/5
I did not use any other amenities or guest services.
I’ve tried to write objectively and hope this information can be used in a positive manner.
5 stars: reservation process including special request for a room near my friend’s; location and ease of parking; staff VERY welcoming, responsive, courteous and helpful; clean and pleasant breakfast and common areas; ample towels.
At this point I got the mangers number, at first she seemed concerned that her house keeper did what she did. But then 5 minutes later I got a call back from her saying "it seems like no matter what I do I won't make you happy I'm giving you your money back and you will have you leave as soon as possible".
I have come to enjoy the atmosphere and friendly people that are always eager to make the guests feel comfortable. The desk clerk is always on top of everything that you may need. One particular person at this location is Tonya Moore, she remembers your face and is happy to see your return. If I have any problems, they are quickly taken care of.
We had to come down to Bloomington for a wedding, however the wedding was during homecoming weekend. The rates for all the hotels in the area were through the roof. We selected quantity inn because the reviews looked decent and the rate was $290 a right (much lower than our other options).
Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a ton of places near to eat at. The rooms a reasonably priced for the aera also.
