Good:
Update: Apartments were recently taken over by Milhaus Management out of Indy, presumably because they were run quite poorly before. Not much has changed so far, but hopefully there is some improvement.
-Nice amenities and grounds are well kept.
-You can tell the units were rushed at the end, took some cheap shortcuts in completing construction.
-Pet friendly, although they charge you an arm and a leg to have your pet here. A lot of dogs around. It's is a plus for me, but it might not be for you.
The management team is horrible. The lady in the leasing office is very unprofessional and rude. It looks she's new to the office and knew nothing about the apartment. Nice apartment and surroundings, but more training needed.
-Management is friendly but borderline unresponsive. Perhaps they are understaffed, I don't know. Any time I've had an issue I've had to follow up on it multiple times before it was corrected. A month after I moved in, I'm still waiting for the maintenance person to clean up a few things left behind by the previous tenant. I've talked to management three times about it so far.
If you're going to spend that much on rent, you might as well live downtown. Also, that beautiful wooded view is actually people's back yards.
My overall experience has been pretty average, I've only lived here a month. I'll update if my experience changes materially over the remainder of my lease. I'll start with the good and move on to the bad.
Overall my experience has been fine, but far from extraordinary. I'd say they are still overpriced, similar units to mine have dropped in price by close to 8-10% since I moved in. From what I can tell there are still quite a few empty units.
Absolutely beautiful!!! If I were moving to Indiana, I'd live here.
-Close access to the b-line trail.
-Units are relatively nice. They are new, so nice is to be expected.
A top notch facility! I'm not sure what more they would need except an elevator for the disabled if they wanted a second floor.
-Even though they still list it on their website, they no longer have a "live barista." They mentioned it multiple times while touring but within a week of moving in they replaced the barista with a coffee machine. It's actually a fancy coffee machine but at least 50% of the time it's not working because the employees here have neglected to clean/refill/etc.
