I needed urgent help with my immigration and needed to speak with an adviser within the next day. He did not listen, nor understand the delicate situation I was in, gave me an appointment days after it really mattered. And on requesting him to try for an earlier date due to the urgency of my immigration case he got agitated and cut me off.
Drastically uninformed and impolite students answering the calls, with no sense of customer service or timeliness. Had an operator name Ben answer my phone, who put me on hold twice for more than 5 minutes each, did not know answers to basic questions.
It would be great if the office learn the best way to reach out to students and make sure that they receive the important information related to immigration. Sometimes, the office may think as long as they send out the message to students, they are responsive. However, it is more important to make sure students actually receive and understand the information rather than just sending tons of emails. I feel sorry for the office sometimes. Regulation and policy are existed, but students cannot be aware of them without informing them in an effective way.

A quick call 5 minutes later, and thankfully I got transferred to someone other than Ben and got an available appointment within the next two days. It was clear that he was making his own decisions and even lied to me about availability in my difficult situation.
