BEWARE OF LAKE MONROE MARINA BOAT RENTAL AT CUT WRIGHT!! We had the worst experience there with the boat we rented! Not to mention the owner was rude, and a complete A Hole to us! Not cool, and not a way to run a business!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! The boat died and we were dead in the water after 1 hour into our fun day! We asked for a refund and the man laughed at me!!! WHAT KIND OF A BUSINESS DOESN'T GIVE A REFUND IF THEIR BOAT BREAKS DOWN! I could keep ranting but that's the jest of it!! I ADVISE YOU TO RENT FROM ONE OF THE OTHER PLACES ON LAKE MONROE WHO HAVE BETTER POLICIES!
Very nice marina, they rent boat slips and party pontoon boats. They have a small store that has a small selection of food and boating supplies. They also have a small food stand that serves breakfast, lunch and ice cream.
there were no trashcans ANYWHERE, so we went inside the marina office where there is food and such to ask where we could throw away our trash. The man who looked like he owned the place, was sitting around lazily when I walked in and didn't say hello either, told me "There's one all the way at the end of the parking lot" in a very rude voice. Then I saw a trash can for public use and I asked if I could put it in there and he said "No," in an even ruder voice. I found this to be very rude and disrespectful, considering we had just rented a very large pontoon boat for the whole day.
Have been using pontoons from this marina multiple times a summer for over 10 years. They have always been helpful, courteous, and pleasant to work with. We take 25 or so teenage campers out on Lake Monroe each week and the marina staff consistently give patient reminders of how to safely use their boats and the lake.
It's a great place to enjoy nature. We walked about 2.5 miles along the Lake Monroe and it was beautiful
