Overall great place to live. They are quiet, spacious, and most importantly all inclusive. But more important you feel appreciated as a tenant.

-Patrick! Such a great person to work with during leasing the process and accessible and warm to any questions or concerns that I have had since I lived there

Pro's:

- a little "far" (Bloomington Local Language) from school ( in reality it takes me 7 minutes to get to campus everyday)

Con's:

- good bang for you buck, the prices are very reasonable especially if you are moving from a big city, and the convenience of paying all your bills at once just adds on

- no bathtubs ( i guess most millennials don't really have time for baths these days anyways)

Pro's:

- The staff here at Summerhouse is second to none. Patrick constantly goes out of his way to make sure all of our needs are met. He responds promptly to emails, seemingly at all hours of the day, and ensures that all of our needs are met.

- A bit far from "downtown" Bloomington. However, we don't mind taking an UBER back and forth though on the nights we decide to go downtown. Plus, it is nice to live away from the undergrad crowd and have some peace and quiet.

- There are community porches on the ends of each building as well as a community "Hoosier Room" that help make up for the fact that there are no private balconies or porch space.

- the property is basically new and everything is nice clean and up to date

Such an amazing place to live at in Bloomington. Most units are all inclusive so they do make living easy. I highly recommend SummerHouse.

I have been at SummerHouse in Bloomington, IN, for 10 months with one more month to go before moving into my own home. Everything has been perfect - I highly recommend the place. The folks in the office are very attentive, the place is clean, and even during construction they have been very thoughtful and considerate.

- no covered parking (only time this really matters is about Dec-March but a good ice scraper and some deicer will do the trick)

Overall:

Great Graduate/Young Professional/Professor Housing

- The grounds are very well maintained. Even with the new buildings going up, I don't think that I have seen a single piece of litter in the 9 months we have been here.

- Parking is limited. This has been made worse because of the construction, but it appears that once the construction of the additional units is completed there will be significantly more parking.

Con's

- The flat rate per month is also a huge plus. The units are reasonably priced, especially considering all utilities are included and there is a washer and dryer in all the units. All appliances are new and high quality.

- much more spacious than the square footage makes it appear to be

I cannot stress enough how enjoyable Patrick and the rest of the staff here at Summerhouse have made our time here. It seems that they enjoy their jobs and take pride in what they do, and it really shows. I highly recommend renting at Summerhouse.

- certain units don't have closets - however I've turned my loft space into a full vanity/closet space

Great for graduate students/young professionals/young couples

Our family stayed at Summerhouse for 12 days this year. We loved it. The rooms are cozy. There are ceiling fans and central air in the rooms. The floors are a nice vinyl hardwood style floor. This is nice because it has a home type feel but you don't have to worry about scratching them. There is no housekeeping. Where some may not like this we loved it. More privacy and makes it feel more like your own. There are washers and dryers in the units. We only had one small problem and the staff after hours on Sunday was within 30 minutes able to resolve our issue with the problems. Everytime we visit Bloomington we will stay here. Thank you for making our trip comfortable.

- Some of the units do not have closets. We are in a loft and built a closet in the back room and use it as our office/closet, and then the loft as our bedroom. So while this is actually a plus for us, I could see where it could be a problem for some.

- Quiet neighborhood.

- Walking distance to a small park.

- As I mentioned earlier, there are no private balconies, but there is plenty of outdoor community space.
