First off, lemme tell you that Hairy Bears taste like pure gasoline. Not even gasoline. It's almost as if they took all of the manageable substances out of gasoline, and then filtered that into a 24oz glass with ice . But don't get me wrong, it's the best gasoline liqueur I've ever drank in my life, and the effects it has on your brain is significantly stronger than gasoline would be. The atmosphere/vibe at Bears is literally perfect. You can be loud and obnoxious with your friends, or you can go by yourself and be chill af. It's what you want. Staff is dope, always have great service. I wish I could give it six stars. Go there.
Beer selection was ok but the food was not great. I don't think I've had worse chips and salsa anywhere. Stale chips and salsa that was just chunks, no liquid. I thought salsa was Spanish for sauce. This was more like a relish.
Good place to get beer and food. Friendly service and a nice place to watch sports.

I've been here a couple of times for their open-to-the-public science talks. They've got a decent selection of beers that I've enjoyed so far, and their food always looks delicious (although I have yet to order an entree myself). I did get the chips and salsa as a snack during one of the talks, and the chips were good but the salsa had an odd consistency between vegetable sizes that kind of ruined it for me. The service is usually pretty decent, and it has a great college-pub/bar atmosphere. Would probably recommend as a place to go with friends to hang-out/drink and eat pub food. Probably wouldn't recommend it as a family place or a date night.
