This place is absolutely horrible. Complete rip-off. I went there for valentine's day. They neglected to tell me about their valentine's day "special" when I made my reservations. The special, which was the only option we could choose, was $80 per couple not including tax, gratuity, or any wine except for this very small bottle of red fizzy drink for us to split. In fact, I saw a couple leave the restaurant because of this surprise. I wish I would have left too. But...I thought for $80 per couple I would get good food and good service, or at least leave feeling either slightly loose from the drinks or full from the 3-course meal. But no. What a scam. The meal portions were more like what I usually leave on my plate after I'm done eating. To be honest the little bit of food I did get wasn't bad, but it was hardly worth the price and I only wish I would have had an option to maybe pass on the dessert or opt to skip buying the salad since my date doesn't even like to eat salad. Furthermore my server was whispering the entire time so I had to ask her 3 times to repeat what she just said because I couldn't hear her. The wine was alright, and that might have been the best part of the night except that when I got my bill I realized they had over-charged me for the wine I bought. The price on the menu was less than the price used to calculate the bill. Rip-off! This place has horrible business ethic and should have the courtesy to let their customers know about their mandatory over-priced 3-course meal that won't even fill you up. The atmosphere wasn't even impressive and we didn't stay long enough to hear any of the live music they they said would be there. All in all I would have rather spent my $100+ anywhere else and would have had a much better night. Stay away from tutto bene unless you like giving your money away.
