Where do I begin? Felt like another number instead of a patient when I went in for my ob appointments. Had to remind them to look at my previous pregnancy issues every visit during my ob appointments. I gained a lot of weight and asked why, I was working out, eating healthy, they didn't care. My first glucose test levels were bad and had to do another glucose test which came back normal. 1 week before my delivery I had an ultrasound and my baby weighed 8lbs 10oz, they swore to me she wouldn't be that big, and I insisted on a c section. After my water broke at 38w 5 d I wasn't dilating and needed to get patocin through iv, i laid in labor for 23hrs and didn't fully dilate. Still asked for a c section up until I started pushing. I was told I wasn't trying my hardest and pushing all that I had (this was my 3rd delivery, first 2 deliveries we're 20minutes and 25 minutes with different doctors) by Dr. Faget. After 1hr and 45 min my baby girl was stuck on my pelvis. I had 2 nurses jump on top of me and pushed on me to help and get her out. She weighed 9lbs 10oz and was 22.5 inches. She came out with a huge bruise on her shoulder. I was then told I had a glucose intolerance during my pregnancy....ARE YOU KIDDING ME? DUH. thanks for tracking my weight for no reason and just looking over my first failed glucose test. This all was unnecessary, yes c sections are hard to recover from but I still have nightmares from my delivery. I have an 11 and 9 year old that I might not have ever seen again and my baby might not have made it. I was very disappointed in the voss center. Luckily I am not having anymore babies, but if I did I would deliver myself before I went back there. Sorry for the long rant, and it might seem a bit unprofessional, but I still have crazy up and down feelings 15 weeks later.
