We have a four-month old baby girl and have loved our experience at Southern Indiana Pediatrics so far. Our pediatrician, Dr. Crista Virtue, is absolutely the best. She's very respectful, relatable, and is great with our baby. I feel like she not only cares about how our daughter is doing, but how we as new parents are doing as well. I highly recommend her! The rest of the staff are friendly and courteous as well. Their office is busy, so I can understand why it might take a while to answer phone calls. No complaints here on that. They're helping our sweet girl thrive, and for that, I am thankful!
My son has been a patient of one of the doctors here (which I am guessing is not directly at fault here, so I will not name them) since he was a newborn, so over 19 years now. We had an appointment on Sunday because he was complaining of pain suspected to be caused by a catheter when he was in the hospital 2 weeks before. They tested him for infection and blood in the urine and found nothing. They said they would refer him to a urologist. It is now Thursday, my son is still in pain, and they have done NOTHING. We checked with them Monday and they said they were working on it. They won't answer their phone, after multiple calls to try to get more information. This place is not the same place it once was.
I don't know what any of these other review are talking about the staff is very friendly caring and timely. I've been going to Riley Physicians and they are the best. My daughter Dr is Jason simmons in the ellietsville building and when she needs seen on weekends this is where we go they get you in quickly most times same day. And the drs aren't quick to pump your child full of pharmicutical meds they suggest natural ways to remedy the situation first if not severe and then if that don't work they suggest natural meds like zarbees. Best Drs around.
We switched to this office after another Dr almost killed my daughter when she was 2. Dr. McDaniel has been wonderful and has helped with many illnesses. She took wonderful care of my son when he was in the nicu and again when he was hospitalized just this past fall. The office staff isn't all that great and the nurses like to tell you what you have to choose for your child, but our pediatrician has always been understanding and supportive of our desicions.
Like other reviews state, it is hard to get them to answer their phones, the receptionists are rude and act annoyed, and the nurses are condescending to parents. One receptionist even called us liars. The doctors are good. Some are better than others, but it is unfortunate that they work in an office with such poor staff.
