To the lady who complained about the charge for looking at her machine, I have this to say. Do you pay other repair people a service charge? Have you ever disassembled a sewing machine? It takes a lot of time to unscrew all of the pieces on older machines. Are you willing to work for an hour for free?
Charged me $20 just to look at it and saying they weren't sure if they could get parts due to the age of the machine. I think if you're in the repair business you should be able to look at the model and go from there. I'm out $20 for nothing.
This is a great shop with excellent repair. Very quaint and on the far North edge of Bloomington. Repair person does repair Bernina machines -- which is a hard person to find. Charges less than Indianapolis repair people, which is why I drive from Franklin, IN to Bloomington and the drive is more pleasant.
