I lived at Woodlawn Crossing in a town home and I loved it! I would still currently be living there if I still had a roommate I wanted to live with. The apartment was soooo spacious. The one we had butted right up to the woods and I had the huge bedroom in the back that faced the woods and it was wonderful. Sometimes when we would be sitting out on our back porch we would see deer and other animals just walking around. It is a very quiet peaceful area. You feel secluded even though you are so close to everything. Bryan park is just a few minutes walk which is great because every Sunday in the summer they have live music that you can go see for free. It was truly a great experience. I have dealt with many different leasing company's in town and by far, Abodes has been the greatest. The people that work there really are very nice people and remember you by name. That is why I am going into my 3rd year leasing from them!
Lived in "The Woods" for 5 years. Great apartments, very good location! When needed, the maintenance crew was always quick to respond and very helpful. They are pet-friendly (for an extra fee) and have on-site recycling. The main office was always very responsive to our needs. I would recommend Abodes and "The Woods" to anyone looking for an apartment in Bloomington.
The apartment itself is very spacious and has many large windows. My place faces the woods and has a nice patio for working outside. The property is pet friendly and my cat loves lounging by the window watching all the animals coming out of the woods. Highly recommend!
I live in one of the houses Abodes owns and I really like the management. They are always kind and maintenance orders are always fulfilled quickly. I don't know about the apartments, but I'm sure they are ran the same way; they are great people to rent from.
I've lived in the Woods complex for a year and I love it! I'm a grad student at IU and the apartment is very convenient to campus but still feels removed enough from the business of campus. It's right on 2 major bus lines and near several major grocery stores.
