They really don't care about anything other than a check in the mail every 30 days. They will hire the cheapest possible maintenance workers to fix things. I've had them come in unannounced a couple times now. They are not looking to improve facilities but probably will increase rent if you attempt to resign. If you are late on even a single payment you'll get a 10 day notice of eviction. Literally the worst management company in Bloomington. Hands down.

This company is suing a single mother for over $5k for an apartment that she didn't live in, and they are threatening her ability to afford hey Habitat for Humanity house. Tenants have been charged for damage done by previous occupants, even though the landlord noted the damage during the move-in process. Reports of neglected pest infestations, refused repairs, overcharging, and refusal to return security deposits are common. If you value your money and the ability to live in a good apartment, don't do business here.

Not a professional company. Luckily, I found this out before signing a lease with them. I saw 2 properties on their website that I was interested in, and sent an email asking if the properties are available and if they accept pets. They replied that the properties are available and they accept all pets, regardless of breed. After several more emails I had 2 showings set up for 4 days later, both to be on the same day. I received a call at my work (how did they get that #?!) the morning of the showings to let me know that both of the properties I wanted to see are being re-leased for next year. First of all, you should have contacted the tenants the DAY that we made the appointments for showings. Why did you wait until the day of when you specifically stated in your email to me that you give current residents 48 hours notice?! Secondly, why did you post the properties on your website as vacant, AND confirm through email that they are available if you had not spoken to the current residents yet??

Parker tried to completely screw over my husband and I. We went to move in to our new house right after our wedding only to find that among other things there were broken windows, a leak in the kitchen floor causing a huge soft patch, cigarette butts and trash in the heating vents, and most disgusting a stack of moldy wooden pallets in the basement. They tried to blame us (when we literally hadn't even moved in yet), and then basically threatened us and tried to scare us. Not only did they refuse to clean the place or make repairs (their maintenance department literally stopped taking our calls) they also tried to keep our deposit and the first and last month's rent, and tried to tell us that we couldn't break the lease and were responsible for the rent until we found someone to take it over. Eventually it took legal action to get them to release us from the lease and return our money, but we spent a week basically homeless while they attempted to screw us over. I'm sure if we had stayed we would have been held responsible for the damage that was already there when we moved in; their own employee (a college student working a summer job that was almost up) basically told us as much. The place was disgusting and the management used gaslighting and scare tactics to try to get us to stay put and con us out of as much money as possible. The sad thing is that these deplorable and dishonest tactics likely work on most of their tenants, many of whom are vulnerable students and don't know better. I don't have words strong enough for how nasty and low these people are. They are basically criminals who get away with cheating their tenants into paying top dollar for unclean, unsafe, substandard housing partly because they are scum and partly because in this state there are few legal protections against such predatory slumlords. Wish I could leave negative stars.

I mentioned these two points (in a kind and calm voice) when the office called me and the lady on the other end of the phone became extremely defensive and hung up! AVOID this "company".

Rats, bedbugs, and roaches. And if you complain or speak out, they'll call the cops on you and sue you. Literally any other real estate company in Bloomington would be better. Parker is a known slum lord. The staff are all extremely courteous people just trying to do their jobs, but the management just wants to rip people off and ruin their housing. Do not rent from them.
